Pet Urns that honor your pet and family member.

Pet Cremation Urns

For many people, losing a pet is like losing a part of the family and just like a family member we grieve and want to honor our loved ones properly as we would any other family member. During the grieving process, it can help to do something special to cherish the memory of your pet by providing some closure and offering a suitable memorial for you most beloved, loyal friend and family member. Placing the remains of your faithful and loving pets in pet urns chosen by you is a good way to do so.

Pet urns come in a wide variety of materials, shapes and sizes. To determine the size of urn you will need for your pet, you can use the same rule for a human cremation urns that is used in the memorial industry, which is one cubic inch of pet ashes urn space for each pound that the animal weighed. This is a conservative estimate and will probably be larger than what you actually need to contain all the remains of your pet. However, sometimes it is good practice to buy a slightly larger pet memorial urn than what you need.

Some pet urns designs are so lovely they can be displayed in your home like art. You need to find the most appropriate and tasteful urn that will hold the ashes of your pet so that your grieving process can continue its course.

There is a cost for pet cremation rather than burying on your property, but not everyone has a back yard in which to bury a pet and doing so can leave a beloved one behind in the case of moving. The use of pet urns avoids this situation as they can be placed outdoors or inside on a mantel or in some other special location and transported as needed.

Pet urns can be made of ceramic, glass, wood, bronze and metal. Placing the remains of your pet in a special urn that represents your pet and its style is a way to insure that your love for your pet is showcased in an appropriate manner.
